Maker's Label
Being very proud of all my cabinetry which I have designed and made especially for you and your home which can be handed down from generation to generation, somewhere attached on the piece of cabinetry you will find a maker's label which gives the purchaser's name together with the purchase date, description of the unit and the materials used in its manufacture, its own commission number, and the makers signature. This makes the piece of cabinetry individual to you and hence will become a valued family heirloom, and I don't mean a self adhesive address label but a high quality printed label on embossed paper.
After all we don't want to "spoil the ship for a handful of tar” now do we?

The maker's label is a piece of social history, so in two or three generations down the line, when you and I have gone to the happy hunting ground in the sky and some distant relative decides to take the piece of cabinetry to the antiques road show of the future, the expert there will be able to tell the bearer something about the item and the maker's label will be of some help in this matter. In my opinion the label contains not an over amount of information but just enough to give the item provenance.

You will see I have signed over a seal of our current monarch H M Queen Elizabeth II. This is a very old tradition “You can say this is old school technology” it prevents my signature from being easily copied so the information contained on the label holds true ( ask the older generation in your family )

Maker Label containing just enough information to give the item provenance.
" This is old school"
